In this special race where history and sports intertwine amidst the mesmerizing atmosphere of Istanbul, the fastest athletes will battle to take their country’s flag to the top!
The ‘Challenge of Countries’ is a special ranking for athletes registered in the 21K category of the 47th Istanbul Marathon, where they race for their country. The athletes’ finishing times contribute to their country’s total time, and the country with the best overall time becomes the champion!

Men’s Category:
• The times of the fastest 5 male athletes from each country are added together.
• The country with the best total time becomes the champion!
Women’s Category:
• The times of the fastest 3 female athletes from each country are added together.
• The country with the best total time becomes the champion!
There are no age restrictions! Only the general category will be considered.
Award:
Athletes from the top 5 countries will receive digital certificates featuring their country’s flag, which will be uploaded to the registration system.
